Gaining Weight

The boys were weighed last night and Caleb gained to where he weighs 1 lb 9 oz now. Ethan lost a smidge so he is just shy of 1 lb 8 oz. They keep going back and forth where Caleb lost weight and now gained and Ethan first gained weight and now lost. I think they are playing games.

Caleb had another echocardiogram done today because his blood gas levels have been off the past few days and the doctors wanted to take a look at the status of his heart murmur. The results show is went from a corrected small murmur to now moderate so they are starting another round of medication tonight. We pray this will correct it once and for all so that he will not have to have a procedure done. Because of the change in the size of the murmur, this also gives answers as to why the blood gases have been off. They said this isn't anything to worry about that it is common in preemies.

Ethan is doing really well and has had his food level increased to 8ml's now. He also started some therapy today where they work on his muscles. Dave was there to see the therapist do the therapy. I guess they just touch certain areas to get the reflexes and things working more. This is just a common thing because of how young they are and will only help their development.

This is the first day that I have not gone to see them and it is driving me crazy! Dave went today though so at least one of us was there for them to hear his voice and have company for a while. We are just trying to see if there are some days that we can take a break so that we can get other things done, rest, etc because if we keep up with the pace we have been going it will sooner or later catch up with us even more than it already has.
