Updates and Remembering Tyler

Hi Everyone,

It's been a few days, so here is where we are at right now...Both boys have had an infection and both seem to be recovering well from it and getting rid of it. Ethan has had a couple negative tests in a row now and Caleb had a positive test and a couple negatives. So, all in all, both boys seem to be getting over their infections.

Both boys also now need to have the surgery done to once and for all close their pda. The timing of the surgeries is still up in the air because they need to make sure that they are both over their infections before they do the surgery. We will keep everyone posted once we know when either/both of them will take place.

Yesterday Mom was able to have some kangaroo time with Ethan! This is where they place the baby against your chest so they can feel your heartbeat and breathing rhythm. It was the first time that she was able to experience this and both Ethan and Mom loved it! Hopefully there will be many more of these opportunities with both boys in the future.

Today we had a small gathering with our immediate family and our Pastor to remember Tyler. It was a very emotional morning, but was beneficial to all of us to look back at our beautiful boy and the two days he gave us. We know he is in a better place now and that he will always be a very important part of this family.
