The Latest....

Hi All,

Sorry we haven't been able to keep up with updates every day. Between working and going to see the boys at night, we are pretty exhausted.

Caleb has been doing better. His platelit levels have been much better and he has not needed blood the past two days. All of the things that were occuring they believe were related to having the infection. They do a blood culture every day to check the status of the infection and yesterdays came back negative (Yay God) and so we need two more consecutive ones to come back negative to consider his infection gone. He has been moving around more the past couple of days which is nice to see. He has been getting rid of the extra fluid his little body was retaining so he is looking much better as well. On Sunday night's weigh-in, he gained to where he is up to 1lb 13oz now but we are not sure how accurate it really is due to the extra fluid. He gets weighed again tonight so we look forward to the results to see if he is any closer to 2lbs!

Ethan has had a little hiccup occur as now he also has an infection, but the doctors are thinking it is not as extensive as Caleb's is so we will find out with the next blood culture results. Due to this infection, they will need to postpone the PDA surgery that was supposed to be tomorrow, which we were disappointed about as we would like to just get it past us and definitely for Ethan' s sake. On Sunday night's weigh-in, he lost a tenth of a gram so I think he is still hovering around 1lb 11oz or so. Now he needs to pack on some more weight so he can have the 2lb party at the same time as his brother!

They are such a joy to be around and I cannot wait until we can hold them! Thanks for all of your continued prayers! Our babies will be three weeks old tomorrow at 2:30am!
